Nykaa Q2 FY27 results – 207% profit growth, Consumer Discretionary sector, beauty and personal care retail | StockVirtue.

FSN E-Commerce Ventures, the parent company of Nykaa, has delivered a strong performance in the September quarter of FY2026–27, with net profit increasing more than threefold. Improving profitability, continued growth in beauty and fashion, and an expansion into premium beauty brands have brought the company's shares into focus.

Nykaa reported consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹101.19 crore for Q2 FY27, compared with ₹32.98 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, representing a year-on-year increase of approximately 207%.

The company's revenue from operations also recorded healthy growth, rising 28.13% to ₹3,006 crore, against ₹2,345.98 crore in Q2 FY26.

The results, announced on November 4, have strengthened investor attention towards the online beauty and fashion retailer.

EBITDA Growth Signals Improving Profitability

Along with revenue and net profit growth, Nykaa reported a significant improvement in operating performance.

The company's EBITDA increased 65% year-on-year to ₹263 crore, compared with ₹159 crore in the same quarter last year.

Its EBITDA margin expanded to 8.7%, up from 6.8% a year earlier. Gross margin also improved to 46%, compared with 44.9% in Q2 FY26.

The improvement suggests that the company is converting its growing business scale into better operating profitability.

Beauty Business Continues to Drive Growth

Nykaa's beauty business remains a major contributor to its overall performance.

The beauty vertical recorded a gross merchandise value (GMV) of ₹4,454 crore during the September quarter. Growth was supported by customer acquisition, repeat purchases, premium product demand and the expansion of its beauty retail network.

The company is also strengthening its portfolio of owned and exclusive brands, aiming to increase customer loyalty and improve its product economics.

Its wider strategy combines online shopping, physical stores, brand partnerships and distribution to capture a larger share of India's beauty and personal care market.

Nykaa Expands Quick-Commerce Operations

Another important development is the company's investment in faster delivery services.

Nykaa's quick-commerce platform, Nykaa Now, was operational in 15 cities during the September quarter, compared with just three cities in the first quarter of FY26.

The company is targeting expansion to more than 25 cities by the end of FY27.

The service focuses on delivering beauty and personal-care products within approximately 30–60 minutes, giving Nykaa another way to compete for customers who increasingly expect faster online deliveries.

Company Approves 82% Acquisition of Simply Nam

Alongside its quarterly results, Nykaa announced a strategic acquisition in the beauty segment.

The company's board approved the acquisition of an 82% stake in Simply Nam Beauty Private Limited for up to ₹33 crore.

Simply Nam is a professional makeup brand founded by celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni.

The acquisition supports Nykaa's strategy of expanding its House of Nykaa portfolio and building a wider collection of premium beauty brands.

The deal could provide an additional platform for product development and distribution, although its eventual contribution will depend on brand performance and integration.

Nykaa Share Price: What Happened After the Results?

Nykaa's strong quarterly performance attracted attention in the stock market on Thursday, November 5.

According to market reporting at approximately 9:26 AM IST, shares of FSN E-Commerce Ventures were trading around ₹365 on the BSE, up approximately 3% during the session.

Brokerage reactions were also positive, with Nomura and Jefferies raising their respective target prices while maintaining Buy ratings. However, valuation concerns remain part of the investment debate.

Investors should distinguish between a strong quarterly performance and the price they are willing to pay for the company's future growth. A rapidly growing business does not automatically mean its shares are attractively valued.

What Investors Should Watch Next

Nykaa's latest results highlight several developments worth monitoring:

  • Whether revenue growth remains strong in the coming quarters.

  • Whether EBITDA margins continue to improve.

  • How quickly Nykaa Now expands into additional cities.

  • Whether the Simply Nam acquisition contributes meaningfully to the beauty portfolio.

  • Whether the fashion business continues improving its profitability.

  • Whether the company's growth justifies its market valuation.

StockVirtue Analysis

Nykaa's Q2 FY27 results show a combination of strong revenue growth, improved operating margins and a sharp increase in net profit.

The expansion of quick commerce and the acquisition of Simply Nam also indicate that the company is looking beyond its traditional online beauty retail business to build a broader beauty and lifestyle ecosystem.

The key challenge will be maintaining this growth while managing competition, customer acquisition costs and valuations.

For investors tracking India's consumer internet and beauty sectors, Nykaa will remain an important company to watch as the earnings season progresses.

Key takeaway: Nykaa's 207% profit growth and 28% revenue expansion make its latest quarterly results noteworthy. The sustainability of earnings growth and margin improvement will be important factors in evaluating its future performance.
